GEMS World Academy Chicago is pleased to announce that Stephanie Williams, a founding faculty member at our school, has been named the leader of our early-childhood campus in Lincoln Park.
Ms. Williams' appointment occurs at the same time as the renaming of the Lincoln Park campus from Little GEMS International Preschool to GEMS World Academy Chicago — Early Years. Her new title is director of GEMS World Academy Chicago — Early Years.
Ms. Williams brings to the role a career's worth of experience working with young learners. She has been a head junior-kindergarten teacher at GEMS World Academy Chicago since we opened in 2014. Prior to joining the GEMS faculty, she worked as an early childhood teacher in the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program in schools in Italy and Portugal. She also served as lead junior-kindergarten teacher and early years coordinator at Dubai American Academy, an outstanding GEMS school in Dubai.
We believe Ms. Williams' intelligence, passion and creativity will enhance the already-strong academic and social-learning programs at GEMS World Academy Chicago — Early Years. Stephanie’s deep knowledge of curriculum and early-childhood development will ensure closer alignment between the early-childhood programs on our two campuses, creating an unmatched “cradle to college” educational journey for GEMS World Academy students.
